Cookie Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how the SCADO website (scado.app) uses cookies and similar technologies. We use no advertising or profiling cookies. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you give your consent.

What we store in your browser

_ga (Google Analytics cookie, only with consent): distinguishes visitors pseudonymously. Duration: 2 years.
_ga_<ID> (Google Analytics cookie, only with consent): keeps session state. Duration: 2 years.
scado-consent (localStorage, technical): remembers your banner choice, with its date and version. Valid for 6 months, after which the banner appears again. Does not require consent.

Google Analytics

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, which may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States) to measure aggregate page views, traffic sources and device type. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code).

It loads only after you tap "Accept" in the banner; if you reject or close the banner with the X, it is not loaded and sets no cookies. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google Signals and ad personalization, and every advertising signal stays denied. Data is kept in Google Analytics for at most 14 months. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page, which reopens the banner. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics is stopped and its cookies are deleted from this site. Your choice, accept or reject, lasts 6 months; the banner reappears sooner only if the cookies described here change.

Strictly necessary cookies

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set strictly-necessary technical cookies for security and to deliver the site reliably. These do not identify you, are not used for tracking, and - being essential to provide the service you requested - do not require consent.

Language

Your language is determined from the URL (/en, /it) and, on your first visit, from your browser settings. It is not stored in a cookie.

Browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not affect how the site works.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
